The Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is recruiting an Environmental Program Manager in the Watershed Restoration Grants Branch to lead a dynamic team in the planning and implementation of Statewide restoration grant projects. The successful candidate will manage a team that develops, manages and implements grants including the Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014 (Proposition 1) and the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access For All Act of 2018 Proposition 68).
Ideal candidates will be highly motivated to successfully manage the existing Proposition 1 program and develop the new Proposition 68 program. They should have strong management skills and experience in program development and able to function well in a team setting working toward a common goal. Candidates should possess skills to develop a highly motivated team, collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, coordinate with other State agencies, deliver projects on a tight timeline, and demonstrate success. Candidates should possess strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, and be able to make sound decisions based upon policies and regulations.
